I love it... and a great haircut too - although I will miss the flicks. For many years I thought that Doppelgangers were railway workers in Germany. How did that happen?
Hee hee dunno Clare.. this is an old photo from last year, so am still trying to grow my locks. I needed a very weirdo photo for this i felt. Isn't that what Doppelgangers are? We can't both be wrong.
I love it!! You have given me several hours of pleasure this evening making some for me, my niece, my friend, etc etc and then more for me again!! What fun! I am now reay to write a seminal work on the genre of the magazine cover *laugh*
This looks like such good fun and I intend to have a go when back at my other bearpit and with access to more of my photos.. good to hear the hair is still growing, can you do a topknot for your Flickr set yet? Kate is right about the play thing. Perhaps this could be your bit of data for the first session in Sept?
I am hoping to have a topknot for the play seminar series. I put it in a pony tail yesterday and it had an additional bonus of giving me a facelift. Yes I thnk it would be a good bit of data for the session. Definitely Mary Plain.
I think Kate should write the paper. I wish kate had a blog so we could learn more. I have to stop getting distracted or I will not finish my book!!! *grin*
There is a great Nabokov novel about doppelgangers. This guy plans to fake his own death by killing his doppelganger and moving elsewhere but then no-one else thinks the dead body looks remotely like him and he gets done for murder. Or something similar. Can't remember the title. (Just goes to show how dangerous it is to work on the railways..)
Sunds fascinating Mary Plain; I am 'all ears' abut any film you recommend now. I saw the motorbiking one the other day because you recommended it; the hwole family liked it and I have since then had to order my son a Che Guevara t shirt over t'internet as he is now a fan. I'll seeif he will let me take a photo.
Are you talking about Motorcycle Diaries??? We loved this one too - especially the bit where he swims with the bad fish with nasty teeth (can't be bothered to try and spell pirh....

Hi Anya!
Yes I have seen all of them on your Flckr stream!! The vampire eyeliner thing made me laugh.
You definitely should pull a paper out of it!
