Ha ha that is so cool Leslie ... I love this stuff! Someone said that in the UK, if trainers areon a wire. covcaine is sold nearby. Dunno if it's true though

Nice one. I've been on holiday somewhere where I saw a tree full of pairs of shoes - (maybe it was greece? I remember it was warm) - I thought it was an end of college ritual. maybe I'll find the photo one day.
Actually there are lots of examples on Google Image, including at http://www.roadtripamerica.com/roadside/shoetrees2.htm
- where there is also an underwear tree.
And, shoes in trees should not be confused with treeshoes.
You must also read Julia's Darling's book about the shoe tree which is brilliant.
